This isn’t just any festival – it’s one of Oxford’s most beloved free community events and this year’s festival promises more excitement than ever before.
Celebrating the incredible bonds and positive relationships fostered within Blackbird Leys and Greater Leys, this year’s theme, ‘One People, One Place’ highlights the unity and energy invested in connecting different generations and cultures within this vibrant community.

- Music, Dance & Spoken Word: Local experienced and first-time performers from Reggae to Hip Hop to Spoken Word, Folk Song and Afro-Beat
- Loud Lab: A new piece by young people, in collaboration with Rawz, Kingsley (Inspire Sounds) and MES Collective
- Affordable Food: Delicious food from around the world, all priced at £5 and under. A chance to hear the story of each recipe, and new this year, The Leys Junior Bake-Off!
- Arts and Crafts: Make a carnival mask, make a memory and hang it in the trees, help make our festival Blackbird fly
- Family Fun: Bouncy Castle, Soft Play, Cardboard City and Traditional Gamesincluding a Tug-of-War, Dominoes and Board Games
- Sports: Sign up for football coaching from Oxford United FC and local football clubs, learn to roller skate, play basketball or cricket or learn how to bowl
- Voices of the Leys: Learn about the history of the estates, and become part of a living archive of our hopes and dreams
