COMMON CHIMPANZEE

Scientific name: Pan troglodytes

This chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes) suffers from total alopecia, a medical condition that causes hair loss, like some humans.

The portrait serves as a poignant reminder of our kinship with animals and evokes the sense of something more than human. The small wound on the top of the head only further reminds us of the feelings and sensitivities we share with these animals.
